What is Circuit Riders Rising?

Circuit Riders Rising is a family on a mission to trumpet the message of devotion to Jesus and stir the spirit of evangelism in America. What was once a beacon of hope for the world, America is now in need of missionaries itself. We are gathering leaders, churches, and the body of Christ to cast a fresh vision and hope for our nation. The spirit of revival is alive and well and Christ in us is the hope of glory!

Into The Storm

Into the Storm Positioning the Heart to Encounter Wonder Matt Pettry   And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings,…

Making Lightning: Introduction

There is a medieval proverb that says, “If a man’s life be lightning his voice will be thunder.” What does it mean to have a life like lightning?  Lightning cannot be ignored.  It’s anything but boring.  It evokes wonder. To me, having a life like lightning calls me to live fully alive to the glory…

Come Up Here

“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, ‘Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” (Rev. 4:1, NKJV) What an encounter John had on the isle of…

It Doesn’t Fit

What does it look like when what you are doing doesn’t fit who you are?  Many times thats the testimony of good intentioned people who are just trying to serve the best way that they can. Unintentionally, we are convinced that duty is apart of our religious requirement and the wild part of who we…

We Need A Superior Fascination

We Need A Superior Fascination I still remember as a little boy when a man introduced a book to my father called, “Pigs In The Parlor.” Within a few weeks special deliverance services were being conducted at our church. I watched, as this man would start asking questions to those seeking deliverance. Then once a question…

Expanding Your Capacity for Wonder and Astonishment

“I do not think there is anyone who takes quite such a fierce pleasure in things being themselves as I do. The startling wetness of water excites and intoxicates me: the fieriness of fire, the steeliness of steel, the unutterable muddiness of mud. It is just the same with people… When we call a man…

The Gospel: Fragile or Finished

What does one year of slowing down allow you to see? You don’t have enough time to read that in one blog post. However, I want to share one area that may be helpful for many of you. Is your gospel fragile or finished? This was a question the Lord asked me last October. My…

Our Personal Tour Guide

The word I was first given in my walk with the Lord was “secret place”. Jesus gave us this term in Matthew 6:6 as He described the secret life of prayer for His disciples. Now ten years later whether it’s called “secret place” or just “intimacy with God” it can be summed up in one…

Goose Feathers, Colonel Littleton, and Devotional Revolution

Earlier this year, my Circuit Rider brothers and me spent a day riding bikes through D.C.  I’ve been there a few times before but I made some new discoveries on that trip that have stuck with me.  For example, I didn’t know that America’s Third President, Thomas Jefferson, was not just a brilliant philosopher, inventor,…

What Is Devotion? Podcast

Sit on the front porch with Mark Casto and Matt Pettry as they discuss “what is devotion?” I don’t think anyone has THE answer, but we are on the journey of discovery. There is a call coming from our Apostle, Damon Thompson, and through our family in Carolina Revival for a devotional revolution. God has…
