Can you hear the call to step away from the noise? The busyness of life has you bowing to the beat of the immediate with no time for solitude. No wonder we don’t know who we are, we are constantly listening to the sound that tells us what we want and who they think we should be. This isn’t just the sound of a godless culture, the majority of what you hear is the voice of religion calling you to be conformed into the image of their idea, normal.
Someone must break the cycle and hear the call of the wilderness. It was the answer for John the Baptist and Jesus, the greatest revolutionaries we know today. If it worked for those emerging from the silence of a inferior covenant to become roaring voices of the Kingdom, why would the answer be different today? The wilderness is so appealing to the seeker, so don’t let “comfortable” steal your confident embrace of this narrow way.
You want to change the world yet you live in the same temple of religion that produced 400 years of silence. Why not live in the wilderness until a sound comes out of you that can turn a nation in six months. Is it the enticement of royal religious robes, the title, or position. There are those who would rather have the leather girdle of humility with sweet honey on our lips and hear the voice that has not been heard in temples of religion.
Sure the great temple might be filled with the economy of culture, the personalities of influence, and the surety of casual crowds but it is void of your true desire…unhindered Presence! I’d rather answer the Call of the Wild than to live where the wild is taken out of The Call. You can only go so far in that system until you realize that it’s not the Bible they want it’s their own agenda. If the system has more spirit, more opportunities, and larger platforms…it’s still a system. Quit trying to excuse you bondage and come out to the lonely wilderness where you can have HIM again.
